Top 10 poorest states in Nigeria

Nigeria, an African country located on the Gulf of Guinea, has 36 states including the the federal territory (Abuja). Nigeria is bless with many natural resources, wildlife, natural landmark, she had independence on 1st Oct, 1960.

Though, since her independence 62yrs ago, she has suffered greatly from poor maintenance on all sectors within, Agriculture, Education, Health, Infrastructure, Public, following the misuses of public fund, embezzlement, fake promises, Oil theft, snakes swallowing money, N18B for clearing of bushes. Nigeria GDP( Gross Domestic Product) is expected to reach $454.00Billion before the end of 2022, yet, it doesn’t shift an inch from her poor states (Citizens).

According to National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) states that;

1) More than one quarter (26.3%) Nigerians are multidimensionally poor and live in a household with a child between the ages of 6 – 15 that is not attending school.

2) Half of Nigerian population (50.6%) are multidimensionally poor and use dung, wood, charcoal as their main source of cooking fuel.
